While browsing Yves Saint Laurent new accessories line, it was the simple Leather Flap Shoulder Bag that caught my attention. I’ve always had a strong admiration for the loud and fun designer handbags, but the simple classic ones have always won me over. Yves Saint Laurent can’t get any classier than this.

This giant tote like bag is detained by a silver push lock closure and upon unlocking it, a giant leather flap reveals a wide storage area of rich black suede lining. The supple texture of this leather gives character to this piece and adds a twist to your ordinary leather handbag. With its chic silhouette and modern leather shoulder strap, it’s appearance brought back memories of how much I still lust for an Yves Saint Laurent Muse Two bag. Who hasn’t spent hours trying to decide what type of lipstick would make their lips most luscious, and what colours would suit them best? I know I have! So, here are my top ten rules for picking the best lipstick for you.

1. Thin lips …

Colors to Try: Peach, pale pink, light beige, clear
Colors to Avoid: Red, dark red, dark purple, any shade of brown

If you have thin lips it’s better to avoid dark and bright colors and settle for softer, natural sheer ones. Start with outlining your lips with a lip pencil that’s close to the natural color of your lips and then fill them in with light pink or light coral or beige lipgloss. A friend of mine who has thin lips often uses Lip Plumping glosses that make her lips look so much fuller.

The Yves Saint Laurent Resort Line has made its way to Saks and boasts many familiar looks with a few new designs. Bright color is not emphasized in this line but the clean designs speak for themselves.

The Yves Saint Laurent Downtown Tote is available in different sizes and material (medium or large and leather or canvas). The leather tote features cervo montana leather with goldtone hardware, buckle detail, and double top handles straps.

Dimensions of this supple medium tote are 14″H X 17″L X 7″W, which shows the tote is completely practical and large enough for everyday use. The canvas tote is available in a rustic sage canvas with leather trim with goldtone hardware and buckle detail.

I love Sergio Rossi shoes, they fit so well and they last forever.  Oh, and they are gorgeous too!

The last ones are such a must-have!  I know they look a bit too manly, but Tod’s moccasins are the ultimate driving (walking, shopping, traveling) shoe.  So, if you ever decide to splurge on these, you won’t be disappointed!  They’ll last you forever and they look so cool with super tight or rolled up jeans and a white T-Shirt, you’ll be amazed!  Very laid back and very sexy in a “Le Smoking” kind of way!

I used to get dark circles under my eyes pretty often and the best I could do to camouflage them was cover them with some loose powder.  The eyes looked better, but the dark circles were still visible.  Until the day my good friend Laura introduced me to a concealer that actually worked!

Since then I tried quite a few concealers myself and here are my 5 Top Picks that work best on covering those dark under eye circles:

1. YSL Touche Eclat Concealer …

Price: $40 at ysl.com

Description: Instant highlighter. The best selling must-have take-anywhere pen-brush for adding a touch of light or banishing shadows and signs of fatigue from the eye area, the hollow of the chin, the contour of the lips and the sides of the nose.

My Opinion: I really liked this, although it is pretty expensive. It worked beautifully on my under eye circles. The product has particles that reflect the light, which makes it perfect for hiding such imperfections as the signs of fatigue under the eyes.

The pen does fit in your handbag neatly for touch ups, and the colour blends really well if you get the right shade, which should be slightly lighter than your skin tone (there are 3 shades, actually, #1 is extremely light, so it will work for very fair complexions, 2nd worked best for me – although I too have pretty pale skin and #3 will be perfect for those who are on the tan side.  Unfortunately they don’t have any shades for darker skin yet…)

This concealer works like a click top pen, so don’t worry when you will be trying it for the first time.  Just “click” on the top at least 5-7 times to get the product coming out.  Afterwards, it will be easy.  Every time you click, you’ll be getting just enough product for your entire under eye area.

I often use it on my cheekbones as well, it gives lights up the complexion.  The only downhill is that you should be really careful with how much you apply.  If you get too much product, it will gather in the fine lines under your eyes (not a very good look, trust me).  But you can avoid it by removing extra product from the creases with a swab before you leave the house.

2. Quick Cover by Chanel …

Description: Ideal coverage and camouflage. Long-lasting, waterproof formula. Creamy emollient texture diminishes the look of dark circles around the eye area. Effectively covers dark spots and blemishes and evens out skin tone. Light-reflecting pigments provide ideal camouflage and coverage. Sponge tip applicator allows for precise application. Using applicator, stroke on over or under foundation to camouflage any dark, blemished, red or pigmented areas.

My Opinion: This easily covered my under eye circles and my blemishes, and was long lasting too, but it didn’t have that “luminous” quality about it, which I so much like about YSL Touche Eclat.  This is my 2nd favorite concealer, as it covers great, but has a somewhat mousse-like texture which I personally don’t like.  And the other thing that’s a downhill for me is that it opens like a lipgloss, which means it’s an easy place for bacteria to enter.  But the color scheme is pretty good, so you’ll surely find the right shade for you, just look for something lighter than the rest of your complexion!

3. All about Eyes Concealer by Clinique …

Price: $15.50 at sephora.com

Description: Disguises dark undereye circles while helping to reduce the look of puffiness. Long-wearing, moisturizing formula won’t crease or settle into fine lines. Oil-free.

My Opinion: My favorite thing about this one was its moisturizing quality. Throughout the day it kept my skin in good condition, as well as hiding puffy eyes and blemishes. The applicator was easy to use and overall I was impressed, but the shades were at first hard to match, although they do have fabulous ones for dark skin tones.

But before buying It’s worth getting a few samples.  Just try different shades and see how it works for you, cause it might not be a good concealer for everybody.  While it covered my dark circles and made my skin look and feel silky smooth, it didn’t work out at all for a friend of mine, who later said it was getting into the creases and wasn’t covering her skin imperfections long enough …

4. Photogenic Skin-Illuminating Concealer SPF 15 by Lancome …

Price: $27.50 at sephora.com

Description: Lancôme’s new Photo-Flex Complex optimizes the effects of light to perfect the look of your complexion while Ginseng, Ginkgo and Vitamin C help energize your skin and broad-spectrum UVA/UVB sunscreens help protect the delicate eye area from sun damage.

My Opinion: One of my favorites, this one also contains vitamins to help energize your skin while you wear it, and also contains sun protection SPF 15, which is absolutely genius!  It’s a little thicker than the rest, and so takes slightly longer to apply and blend, but it’s definitely worth the money. The shades are close to the lids, but it’s still worth seeing if there is a tester pot you can apply on your wrist to check that you get the best possible color for you.

5. DiorSkin Sculpt Lifting Smoothing Concealer by Dior …

Price: $31 at sephora.com

Description: Conceal imperfections and impart an ultra natural radiance with this new generation concealer. Infused new generation powders work to minimize fine lines while Dior’s A-Resist complex improves the overall tone of the skin. This unique coverup recontours the face and imparts a youthful glow.

My Opinion: This is a great concealer for the dark circles.  My skin looked blemish and dark circle free the whole day, but the smell was quite strong, so try this concealer before buying if you are sensitive to perfumed makeup. Skin does appear radiant, and it has the most natural looking finish, but it’s missing the moisturizing qualities that even some cheaper concealer now offer and just like with Chanel, this particular package might be very bacteria friendly, so think twice if you have allergy prone skin or eyes.

As for myself, I carry a boring Puma satchel and occasionally, my Monogram Speedy 30 to my gym. Back to Kim, she must hold the crown for the coolest bag at her fitness club, hands down. Although I don’t see the Muse Two nowhere near Sporty or as the perfect sweaty clothing bag, I do get the fact that it’s roomy and that it’s appearance isn’t loud. I wonder if she sets her bag down on the floor as she works out or if Kim just crams it into a locker. Whatever she does with her bag, it beautiful and it looks great on her.
