It’s time to update your wardrobe for Spring and Summer, girls!   And this season there are so many hot trends emerging, you’ll have plenty to choose from!

Here are 8 Hottest Fashion Trends for Spring-Summer season according to fashion gurus from Elle, Vogue and InStyle.  And in between those fabulous pictures you’ll find my two cents on how to utilize these styles to turn into most fabulous fashionista on the planet!

1. Bold Belts …

Dressing up your outfit with a bright bold belt is one of the easiest ways to update your look.

If you wearing a black outfit, opt for a thick colorful belt that will instantly add character and style.

Or show your dangerous side wearing a belt with an animal pattern or a belt made of faux exotic skin!

Who said a belt should be made of leather or fabric? Try a more daring version of a belt with a soft dress, the contrast between the two will play up your whole outfit.  See how much more floating the silk in the pictures is?  It’s all about contrast …

2. Big Earrings, Bangles and Necklaces …

Bright jewelry is the best way to dress up any outfit. And this Spring-Summer season bold jewelry is as hot as ever!

Although, there is one rule of wearing it, which I’ve unfortunately learnt only after my fashion “faux-pas”.

Girls, no matter what your BFF say, there is such a thing as “TOO MUCH” when it comes to wearing bold pieces of jewelry. To play it right, wear 2 pieces (either earrings and bangles or bangles and rings or rings and necklace etc.) at a time and you will look positively fabulous!

Don’t you love these tribe-inspired earrings by Louis Vuitton? Now that’s what I call a statement piece!  I am sure there will be many look-alikes for a more reasonable price…

This season bangles are so hot, the more of them you wear at a time – the better!  And I am so in love with Lanvin bold bracelet made of gems… Didn’t they have something similar in H&M?

Necklaces are getting bolder and brighter as well. Worn over a dress or a T-shirt, a bold necklace will glam up your whole look.  AND a bold necklace can make you look slimmer – how fabulous is that?

3. White and Black …

Go classic this Spring, pick a black’n’white dress or mix your white items with black ones. Pick a white belt, black heels and black earrings, or look for a black and white necklace to complete the look.

If you’re going out after work, refresh the look with a fabulous black hair accessory featuring lace or feathers, and black lace gloves (these are so hot right now!).   And you’ll surely break some hearts that night!

Chanel featured so many gorgeous black’n’white looks for this Spring and Summer! Well, after all this is a classic combination and classic is always in style, right?

4. The Nude Hues …

At the other end of the scale, there’s the nude hues. The catwalk went mad for these Spring-Summer 2009, and as a result – there’s a huge range of nude colours on the rails!

Are you consider trying on something in nude? Don’t be disappointed if the first flick you put on makes you look washed out. All you need is to find the perfect hue for your skin – it might be a bit more pinkish, or grayish, just keep looking and you’ll find the hue that’s just perfect for you!

PS: I found that a slight tan helps a lot when it comes to nude colors. A good self-tanner could do the trick!

Do you have killer legs?  If so, this trend is for you!  Well, the shorts girls are sporting in the pictures are a bit too short, but you get the idea – the shorter the shorts you wear this Spring-Summer, the more stylish you look!  Just make sure your bootie stays covered ))

Dsquared2  panties/shorts look so fab!  If only we could take them from the runway into the streets…  But I guess my 80 year old neighbor will have a heart attack if she sees me in one of these )

7. Cool Blazers …

My friend has made this look her trademark, by mixing her boyfriends blazers with her shorts, tops and gorgeous bright jewelry. But turns out mixing a cool blazer with a dress or a gown is also an ultra fabulous idea!

Steal her look, or make it your own by mixing and matching skinny jeans, capris or short shorts with big blazers for an ultra feminine look.

8. Sassy Mini Dresses …

If you think uber shorts are a bit too much for the street wear, you can still show off your fabulous legs in sassy mini dresses which have been a huge hit this season!
